Whether other people can see who viewed their profile, what you searched, and who can see your archived boards.

What other people can see
Less than most people assume.

Treat any app promising a list of your profile viewers with caution, because Pinterest does not provide that data.
What Pinterest records
Private from other users is not the same as private from Pinterest.
- Collects: Pinterest's Privacy Policy lists the terms you search for among the usage data it collects.
- Uses: It says it uses activity to make inferences and personalize what you see.
- Shares: It describes sharing some activity-related information according to your settings and location, and disclosing account information when legally required.
Clearing recent searches removes them from your visible search history. Pinterest does not say this erases all associated activity data. None of this is a list another user can open.
What you control
Profile, board, and data controls are in different places.
- Private profile: Settings → Profile visibility. Business profiles must switch to personal to be private.
- Secret boards: Use the board’s editing settings. Visible to you and invited people.
- Archived boards: Choose Archive in the board menu. Hidden from your public profile; Pins are kept.
- Your data: Settings → Privacy and data. Request a copy of your data.
These controls do not make your searches invisible to Pinterest.
